Shimmy Mob Update

Wise choices create the outcomes we desire.

Previously, I blogged about Shimmy Mob and World Bellydance Day. Then, I blogged again with a few of our photos. And, now, as promised, here is one of our Shimmy Mob performances.

And, here is the link to the montage of our 4 performances on World Bellydance Day, May 10, 2014.

In total we raised over $300 for a local Domestic Violence Shelter.

It was a wonderful experience and we’re all looking forward to it again next year.

Awesome! I wish I had the guts to take up bellydancing!

Don’t let having “the guts to take (it) up” stop you. Learning anything new is always worth stepping out of your comfort zone. If you’re interested in trying bellydancing or any other type of activity, check out your local recreation center or google the activity and your city. I’m sure you’ll find something to try. I just started bellydancing in late 2010 – for fun. Now, I absolutely love it. It may be time for me to add another new activity. I love learning.

I love Belly Dancing! Glad you managed to raise so much for the shelter.

I love it, too. We were quite shocked at our second fundraiser, where we raised $157 when we only expected to raise about $50. The kindness and generosity of people never ceases to amaze me.
